[ five minutes is four minutes too long -- even with the mug of tea in hand, although she takes it with a thoughtful glance. oh, god. seeing him makes her heart fill and she worries she might threaten tears all over again. she's on her feet and she meets him just within the doorway -- rushing him with attention as both dogs scatter into the hallway. her teeth grit; she touches his wrist before she touches the cup.
